ATEX (ATmospheres Explosibles – French), An explosive atmosphere, or Hazardous Area as they are most known, is defined as a place where a mixture of dangerous substances with air (gas, vapor, mist or dust) under atmospheric conditions, which when ignited could cause a fire or explosion. ACM's ATEX inspections will assist your organization demonstrate that all installed ATEX electrical and mechanical equipment is certified, has the right protection concept for the potentially explosive atmosphere and is safe to use and fit for purpose. The criteria for the detailed inspection are taken from both EN60079-14 and EN60079-17 standards depending on the concept of protection.
